Questa foto, fatta il 14/08/2007, merita un piccolo commento. Il Gambecchio frullino si riproduce nella regione artica e sverna tra il Mar Rosso e l'India occidentale. Per l'Italia e' un migratore scarso (8 osservazioni per 16 individui nel 2007 - fonte annuario EBN 2007). Quella mattina, gioiosamente in citta' per la nascita di mia figlia, feci un veloce giro in una piccola zona di canneti denominata "Ariscianne" nei pressi di Barletta (BT). Su di una spiaggetta, posta tra il mare e un canale di acqua sorgiva, era presente, tra un Voltapietre ed un Piro Piro piccolo, uno strano limicolo dal becco ricurvo nella parte apicale e netto sopracciglio. Non avendo alcuna guida ed essendo in forte controluce, feci solo alcune foto documentative. Rientrato a casa, con l'aiuto degli amici del forum "Argonauti", lo identificai in un giovane Gambecchio frullino. Tornai nel pomeriggio sperando di ritrovarlo e confidando in una luce piu' favorevole. Il Gambecchio era ancora la', intento a cibarsi di piccoli insetti. Feci numerose foto dall'auto. Poi, notando la sua assoluta tranquillita', scesi e mi sdraiai a pochi metri dalla battigia. Dopo poco mi passo davanti. Il Gambecchio frullino rimase ad "Ariscianne" fino al 16/08.
