London - Black & White

London's Wet National Gallery! sent on April 25, 2016 (19:58) by Timk2. 51 comments, 2935 views. [retina]

at 16mm, 1/13 f/3.5, ISO 1250, hand held.

Far too wet and raining to use graduated grey filters, so had to extract the shadow detail from the rather too pushed RAW file. Pity too about the scaffolding, but far too big an area to clone out (not enough clone source to use). No tripod either, so you just have to make the best with what you have! #BlackAndWhite #Reflections

You have exploited very well the bad weather to make a nice pleasant foto.Molto the reflection and people on the go. Congratulations Tim.
Hi Stefano

ps but why do you say that you have no source to be able to clone, starting from above the scaffolding and down slowly I think you could handle it, and good as you are ....

Stefano, my friend - have you tried cloning out such a large area? If so, you will know that it has to be done in small parts or else it shows up horribly. Perhaps I should have tried, but perhaps I just wasn't prepared to try...but I am realistic about such things.

Maybe I should have tried it, but maybe I just was not willing to try
... yes I know sometimes we are a bit 'lazy, if you knew how many times I gave up too ...
hello good night, stefano
