Be honest, comment! I WAS surprised at your reaction on the Corrugation though, it being a fisheye and into the sun, have to admit. But we can always be surprised on the personal tastes of those we think we know the best. Des, when he occasionally comments, can come up with the most ridiculous comments (in my eyes) on why he doesn't like something, but he's a non photographer and a bit Joe public at times too. You think you've got something that he'll really like and some little part will spoil it for him, end of story, move on, next photo please! |

You can always come back to something again, like I did with your 'blue sky', or, just say, 'I'm not too sure about this one'. Then, come back when you have a diplomatic comment! I think it's always good to be able to critique a photo with diplomacy as we all have friends who now want your knowledgeable opinion, and their results are pure pants!
As you know, it's often a thin line between the number of likes needed whether an image gets on popular or not, so I'm always slightly anxious that potential likes are not being counted in time. I'm writing rather hurriedly as I'm due to visit the Whitechapel Gallery with Des a bit later and so am watching the clock too. Luke also passed a load of legal exams and so celebratory pubbing in the East end is in order, I believe. I'll be away from Juza for quite a while, hence the blitz now. |

The 'other site' gives lots of opportunity for seeking out something positive to say when there is little positive to say.....I think I'm getting quite good at that!
But critiquing your photos (and others here on Juza) is a completely different thing, as they are never just random shots, taken with little thought to focus, composition, light, etc!
