at 45mm, 1/125 f/13.0, ISO 100, hand held. Ricetto di Candelo, Italy.

Al centro del lato nord, tra due torri angolari rotonde, si trova la Torre di cortina. È possente, quadrata, aperta e costruita quasi interamente con grandi massi squadrati ; più tardo è il coronamento in mattoni. Oltre allo scopo difensivo, fungeva da collettore per lo scarico di acque e liquame, come rivelano le feritoie in basso. Ancora oggi assolve il compito di far defluire tutta l'acqua superficiale del ricetto. A tal proposito fondamentale risulta la pendenza del terreno da Sud a Nord, con un ulteriore dislivello ad "imbuto" nei pressi della torre.
