Bravo !
Ciao !

Massimo Sorriso

Rosario, in the classification are not really able to help, but I can only tell you that it is a really beautiful shot, very well composed and detailed, with excellent color and blur background.
Bravo!

Bello scatto comunque.

Ciao. Claudio

Hello Rosario, whereas the immediate family (Tipulidae) has nearly 200 species only in Italy, the classification from a photo I would say that it is almost impossible, I can tell you, however, that seem to me:

Tipula lunata

But obviously it is not a certainty, but just my personal opinion. Nice shot anyway.

Hello. Claudio

Morphologically it is difficult to photograph one of these subjects, two particularly difficult if we are not on the same axis. But careful not to catch your feet.

Ciao, Rosario

Claudio they are pairing. By straight received the order, this was a fact, is that of the Diptera, sott'ordine Nematocera, Tipulidae family, and I will stop here. According to Claudio L could be the tipula lunate.
Thanks as always for your intervention.

Tipule, that if they enter the house screaming that someone has entered a mosquito dinosaur and part of the hunt (they really are harmless, do not bite). The interesting thing is that both came well focused, with two bodies from lanky, four long wings, twelve long legs, bent and firing in all directions ... Beautiful, and also well made for the retaliation of the legs with thorns exploding on all sides.

Yes, they told you right, these mosquitoes are called tipules, they have nothing to do with mosquitoes. The bad thing about this insect lies in the fact that it lays its eggs on the ground and their larvae in the spring eat most of the beans I sow..... . You posted a very elegant macro image. Well done Rosario, hello, have a good start to the week.
