Had I inadvertently trampled yes, Francesco. But it was dull, not well thermo-regulated in that hole of light in the shadows. I estimated that I got to get back in the car, remove the 150,500 that the narrow space in which I was forced to focus distance impediment, mount the poorer 75/300 but allowed me a closer approach, go, shoot, do little to understand, and nothing to the fishermen who were camped nearby who would have killed her, fearing that infilasse in the tent.

eerie snap because I am very impressed by snakes and let alone by a viper, you have been good and competent to go back and change the lens without alerting fishermen

Antonio, for us to turn, maybe more of the vipers are dangerous dogs, ticks ... and sometimes even people. In Italy he dies more than leptospirosis (transmitted by rats) that viper ...

Well said Lambos! We must dispel all these prejudices that are read on the snakes and vipers in general.
They are not aggressive animals and the risk of being bitten is very low (especially if you take the proper precautions). It 'absolutely true that they are much more dangerous than dogs, ticks and ... people!

True Atrox. Meanwhile, the prejudices they feed to excess. When I was "young" There was confined to the vipers and wolves, with associated legends of ghostly "drops" in the countryside. The local newspapers were seen photos of horrific vipers "two meters long!" (Actually harmless colubers) killed by meritorious and heroic passer. Today, not a day passes without reading the ferocious wild boars entering fields, in homes, ravening dogs and attack people (if hunted, wounded or cornered, try to defend themselves). It's up to us to reason and explain calmly.

Bitten by a dog (with annexes points) and point 7/8 times by ticks ... vipers still at 0 level despite having spent all my childhood summers in the mountains! So I can not fully quotarti Lambros.
And congratulations for the nice close up shot! an emotion that I also hope to try sooner or later :)

Ciao Stefano, meglio comunque restare a zero morsi.
Vipera piccola e infreddolita, trovata in una faggeta all'ombra.
