Eccomi di nuovo con un altro scatto islandese; questa volta ho scelto uno scatto fatto sulla famosa spiaggia di Breidamerkursandur, ovvero la spiaggia della laguna glaciale Jokulsarlon. Le condizioni quel giorno erano pazzesche, in quanto il tempo cambiava da grandine a neve o a sole in un battito di ciglia; questa foto è stata fatta un'ora prima del tramonto, ma la luce era già uno spettacolo in quanto i temporali creavano delle tonalità e dei contrasti stupendi. Il mare era abbastanza agitato, e i pochi fotografi che erano già sulla spiaggia si tenevano molto a distanza per non bagnarsi. L'unico bischero che tenta di avvicinarsi è il sottoscritto, e appena dopo una raffica di scatti ne ha già pagato le conseguenze ed è costretto a fare marcia indietro: un'onda più alta mi bagna completamente da capo a piedi, insieme logicamente a tutta l'attrezzatura.. Il display della D800 non dà segno di vita e vado nel panico totale: dopo un po' di prove, capisco che della sabbia si era infiltrata nel pulsante di scatto del telecomando e lo aveva fatto bloccare a metà corsa, cosicché di conseguenza bloccava pure la macchinetta (come quando si mette a fuoco prima di scattare!); il 14-24 nel frattempo fradicio si era appannato internamente (di nuovo…) e sono passato poi al 24-120 in cerca di scatti più particolari, che poi vi mostrerò! Questo qui è l'ultimo scatto dell'unica sequenza che sono riuscito a fare con il 14-24, e come intuirete, questa è l'onda colpevole di tutto quello che vi ho raccontato poco sopra! Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com .
