Vedo che hai rispolverato un vecchio scatto 
Penso che la prima cosa che salta all'occhio è la volontà di tenere chiuse le ombre, forse per attirare l'attenzione sulla zona importante.
Sinceramente mi sembra un po' grande la parte scura, almeno a sx avrei operato un corposo taglio.
Il soggetto con le nuvole creano un bel colpo d'occhio..

Esatto Claudio l'intento era chiudere le ombre e incorniciare soggetto e riflesso.
Il taglio a sinistra suggerito è senz'altro un' ottima riflessione. Di solito appoggio il palmo della mano sulla zona da "tagliare" e la sollevo più volte per confrontare le due versioni al volo. La soluzione che proponi ci può stare benissimo
