Chrysolina (Taeniochrysea) americana (Linnaeus, 1758)

Ciao ClaudioSorriso

Hello Andrea, the small "beetle" you've photographed very well by the way, is actually a leaf beetle (one of the many families of Coleoptera) which is called:

Chrysolina (Taeniochrysea) American (Linnaeus, 1758)

Species that is a regular visitor of many medicinal plants (aromatic). It 'a sp. harmful to plants that attended, but if you saw a single copy would say that is not the case of using agricultural chemicals.

Hello Claudio :-)

Thanks Claudio and thanks Kjriel, in rosemary I've seen different but are counted in the palm of a hand. For me, the plant may even die, I would not do harm to these beetles. Thank you for your explanations, I wanted to know as they are the first pictures I do in the macro if you can focus on any topic, since in most of the times I have trouble, that is one part is in focus and another not. What should I do, I'm wrong in something?

Saluti Claudio.

Try to improve the parallelism with the subject, and to use diaphragms + closed so as to increase the depth of field. Even the use of a tripod may help to prevent the blur.

Greetings Claudio.
