Questa foto è stata pubblicata dal sito National Geographic Italia nella rubrica "La mia foto, il meglio di Novembre". Inoltre, con questa foto mi sono classificata terza al concorso fotografico "Il valore dell'ambiente", promosso dalla Facoltà di Agraria di Catania, dal CSEI e dal COF, in occasione del World Environment Day (quest'anno dedicato alla tutela della foreste), e sono stata premiata da Mario Tozzi, geologo e naturalista. E' stata fatta col cosiddetto "plasticotto" in dotazione con la Canon Eos 40 D e le sono molto affezionata in quanto è stata la mia prima foto -in assoluto- scattata con una reflex.
