Back posting online after a long upgrade to a new computer, this took a little more than anticipated due to other reasons.
Alongside ladybirds, Meloe proscarabeus is one of the beetles to be found early in the spring. In fact, this particular specimen was found in February 2014!

mi lasciano perplesso quelle gocce giallastre emesse da alcune articolazioni del soggetto, di solito si tratta di luquido che ha la funzione di sconsogliare ai predatori di mangiarlo essendo nauseabondo..............chi era il predatoe??
