Eccomi qua con un altro scatto del mio ultimo viaggio in Islanda: questa volta voglio mostrarvi la favolosa Godafoss nella sua veste invernale! Il luogo direi che è ben conosciuto, ma qua nel nord ho trovato decisamente molti meno turisti rispetto che al sud, dove orde di pullman la facevano da padrone. E capisco anche il motivo! Cercherò di farvela breve: sono stato indeciso fino all'ultimo se tentare ad andar nel nord o meno, in quanto in molti mi avevano avvertito che la situazione può cambiare molto rapidamente e le tempeste di neve sono frequentissime. Dopo aver controllato il tempo un miliardo di volte, decido di dirigermi verso Akureyri! Devo dire che nel viaggio di andata non ho trovato ne un filo di vento ne un chicco di neve, tutto è andato per il meglio e infatti dentro di me pensavo già “bah, dove saranno tutti sti problemi io proprio non lo vedo…”; trascorro due notti su, cercando di visitare più luoghi possibile anche se molti purtroppo risultano irraggiungibili a causa delle strade pietose e della neve (vedi Dettifoss, Aldeyjarfoss). Al ritorno, il tempo prometteva nuvole più o meno per tutto il tragitto, con qualche nevicata debole nell'ultimo tratto per arrivare a Borgarnes. Avevo già trovato diverse nevicate e non pensavo di trovar alcun tipo di problema nel superare anche questa; come non detto! Mi ritrovo dentro una violentissima tempesta di neve, che ho superato soltanto grazie ad un autobus che avevo davanti a cui stavo incollato perché altrimenti non si riusciva a vedere assolutamente niente di niente: non avevo mai visto una cosa del genere, sicuramente è stato il momento in cui ho avuto più paura di tutta la vacanza! Alla fine dei giochi, sconsiglio pure io di andare nel nord in inverno, in quanto molti dei posti stupendi che ci sono, sono irraggiungibili per ovvie cause (a meno che non si abbia un monster truck), e nonostante i panorami completamente innevati siano fantastici, non so quanto valga la pena se li paragoniamo ai rischi che bisogna prendersi. Parlando un po' della foto, posso dirvi che le alte luci al limite sono volute in quanto la situazione che si creava con quella foschia era proprio quella! Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com . I did it also in Iceland the first week of March and also I after seeing the south I was tempted to go to the North, eventually starting from Hofn I managed in two days to do all the rounds in the ring one coming to the capital .
