la 7D ha il sensore in formato ridotto, il 50 mm diventa 80 mm per il fattore di moltiplicazione di 1,6 per le canon APSc(formato ridotto appunto). quindi un 80 mm e' ideale per i ritratti.
e' giusto spostarsi avanti o indietro con un'ottica fissa ma per la MAF non dovrebbe essere un problema con l'autofocus inserito sull'ottica.
potresti usare anche OneShot al posto di Al Focus in quanto il soggetto, di norma, per i ritratti sta in posa e quindi fermo.
