L'edificio "religioso" del Borgo è l'esempio più eclatante del dovizioso lavoro che i costruttori del complesso hanno portato avanti tra il 1882 e il 1884. In origine, la chiesa era una semplice quinta teatrale, limitata alla sola facciata, composta secondo differenti modelli ? ben sette- assemblati insieme. Nelle linee generali si ritrovano le proporzioni della vecchia chiesa parrocchiale di Verzuolo presso Saluzzo; la slanciata ghimberga della porta deriva da San Giovanni di Ciriè; il cornicione in cotto ripete quello di San Giorgio a Valperga nel Canavese, da cui è copiata anche la finestra del lato sinistro; le sei guglie o pinnacoli in cotto che sovrastano la costruzione sono coperte da tettuccio a cono e derivano anch'essi da Ciriè. La dedica della chiesa alla Madonna si rivela nella presenza della riproduzione in terracotta dell'originale lapideo della Madonna del Melograno presente sul portale della collegiata di Santa Maria della Scala a Chieri. Nel timpano della porta è rappresentata l'Annunciazione, in cui la figura Maria, tratta da Piobesi , e l'angelo, da Piossasco. Il grande San Cristoforo col Bambin Gesù sulla spalla è tratto da un affresco della vecchia chiesa di Verzuolo; il San Bernardo con il diavolo in catene ha il suo modello a San Giorgio in Valperga; il Sant'Antonio Abate è stato copiato dalla parrocchiale di Piossasco e le due figure femminili, che rappresentano Santa Dorotea e Santa Caterina, sono imitazioni di dipinti del Castello di Strambino. Negli anni '60 si decise di dare un corpo a questa facciata costruendo un ambiente modesto allestito come una vera e propria chiesetta. Dal 2005 questo spazio è utilizzato come sala mostre.
