L'interno, a croce greca allungata, presenta una navata unica coperta da volta a botte cassettonata. La cupola, poggiata su un tamburo colonnato sia all'interno che all'esterno, copre il transetto e illumina la crociera centrale; nella cupola, Dio padre in gloria d'angeli di Paolo Emilio Morgari. L'interno prevede un complesso programma iconografico, con temi sia biblici (le statue dei profeti, realizzati dai protagonisti della scultura torinese carloalbertina), sia storici (i padri della chiesa affrescati da Gonin nei pennacchi della cupola, i santi Anselmo d'Aosta e Bernardo da Mentone nelle lunette delle cappelle laterali, sant'Epifanio e san Vittore sopra il portale). A completare il programma, sulla parete sinistra la pala raffigurante la Natività della Vergine del Legnanino (1707, ex voto municipale dopo la vittoria nell'assedio del 1706) e, sul fondo, il battistero realizzato da Cesare Reduzzi.
