Mentre ci trasferivamo su fuoristrada da San Antonio di Lipez a Villamar attraversando le Ande boliviane in zone pressochè disabitate oltre i 4000 m, improvvisamente ci siamo imbattuti in due casupole con un piccolo recinto per i lama. Ci siamo fermati increduli e una bambina ci è venuta incontro con uno sguardo sorpreso, incredulo , anche per i regalini che le abbiamo fatto, che però mi è sembrato velato di tristezza. Quello sguardo mi ha perforato il cuore; non lo dimenticherò mai.
