I would put the church as the third left using as a guideline only on right wall.
as post could perhaps interpret it more for example leaving the pavement much darker leaving one church illuminated the true and only protagonist.
the flooring is beautiful but the church is still the queen of Portovenere.
Hello
Simone

He was not retired? :-D
Today must be the air the day ;-)
I anticipated, I too would have taken advantage of the right of using the scale-wall, the Pdr downs I've always liked, but here the pavement takes up much of the frame thwarting the subject, plus the beautiful blur of the sky seems to me that it could be a good opportunity to use along with the church ;-) :-P
Hello guys 8-)

On this I have little to complain about ;-) :-D agree with the darkening especially the lower part, the central compo however I do not mind, the subject in a static position against dynamic sky works for me, but making this choice horizontally would have centered entirely, anyway I like you are getting a good pdr and valued the sky with movement, even the color contrast is good.
Congratulations, hello.

Thanks Catherine. The resume point has been the only discussion with Gianluca :-D :-D
In the end we made a cross. Gian true ???
On the darker, as you see I did but I was not convinced. Apparently I screwed up. I am saved for a corner by the version posted above.
I treasure your comments.

attention to that dark does not expire forcing.
definitely better, but the central clear zone is too obvious, it is not justifiable, I think, since light presente.Non think that little hole in the sky will be able to produce a zone so clear and well defined.
Have a look at the one I sent you, I feel more balanced.

It is absolutely Simo. I agree. Precisely for this disparity that I have not posted. I could not bring
it was just too dark on the sides, or too light at the center. Here is the indecision and therefore not convinced.
I agree with you. But here ..... the idea was insomna
Thanks again!! Very kind as always.

Cribaspace Hello, I agree with those who preceded me. I'd be curious to see the version that has sent Simone (if agreed). Going to darken some areas of the shot he earns a lot, what is sure is that the base is very good ;-). Hello

Emanuele

I really like the picture, I'm around I am not in agreement with Simon regarding the composition, the low recovery love it and it's what makes the photo. I also support the central role of the church, in fact, I would put it perfectly in the center, because a composition such as this one recalls the centrality of the subject in my opinion, otherwise it would be unbalanced. Scurirei the foreground as in your second version, just giving a bit of vignetting to further improve the key of reading of the image. In any case, congratulations, a different picture from the usual portovenere, and the nice atmosphere, so good!

otherwise would have been unbalanced.

I begin to think Fabio that we have two different conceptions of unbalanced composition.
one day we will meet in private, both on the forum does not mean you never. ;-)

Chri hello !! I told you that this pdr broke !!! as we say uina post cross between the first and the second we could stare..la compo seems fairly central ... it gives a lot of depth and then explodes with the sky !!!
Chri nice job !!

@Esaphoto: Thanks for the comment. The version of Simone is actually more gradual as the brightness of the pavement.

@Fabio: I too find that the PDR is correct. Moving to the right or left, remember that the walls got too close, taking a lot of scene. I do not know .... I think a trial would go. But I do not think that even I as it is unbalanced. For the post, effectively darkening you see a general improvement. Thanks for the comment.

@Moro, Giani and Nicola: I really thanks to you.

@Gianluca: What to say ...... THANK YOU !!!
