Ciao Fabrizio. Sì, esemplare stupendo. E come dici si tratta di Vipera aspis (atra, anche se non tutti riconoscono questa sottospecie). Queste vipere che trovo in montagna (Alpi di Piemonte e VdA) non sono molto grandi, generalmente la lunghezza massima è sui 60 cm.
Con il 15 mm mi avvicino molto al soggetto, in questo caso direi sui 25-30 cm.

Io ritengo che i serpenti (in particolare quelli velenosi) trasmettano piuttosto un senso di affascinamento, così come fanno molti formidabili predatori (es. felini, rapaci).

Normalmente i serpenti reagiscono alla cattura mettendo in atto vari comportamenti di difesa (naturalmente noi rappresentiamo per loro dei predatori estremamente pericolosi!). Con un po' di pazienza è però possibile "calmarli" e fotografarli a distanza ravvicinata senza che scappino o reagiscano con un morso. Naturalmente con i velenosi bisogna essere prudenti, soprattutto con le specie più pericolose.
