Zoo Palast: il cinema più famoso di Berlino, a Charlottenburg. Allo Zoo Palast si tenne nel 1927 la prima assoluta di Metropolis di Fritz Lang. Nel novembre del 1943 la sala originaria fu distrutta da un bombardamento e dopo la guerra, nel 1955, l'edificio fu ricostruito così com'è adesso. Durante la Guerra fredda il cinema conobbe il suo periodo migliore, ospitando dal 1957 al 1999 gli eventi più importanti della Berlinale. Da lì in poi, però, il festival internazionale si spostò in altre sale più moderne e meno fatiscenti, e lo Zoo Palast perse la sua centralità. Il cinema rischiò anche diverse volte di essere demolito ma nel 2010, grazie all'intervento dell'imprenditore del cinema Hans-Joachim Flebbe, ià proprietario di circa 400 sale, iniziarono i lavori di ristrutturazione. http://www.ilpost.it/2013/11/26/zoo-palast-berlino/
