Speaker's Corner, Hyde Park, London. Sundays sees various people discussing and debating (or shouting and abusing) on any issues they wish to. This guy has religion on his mind. The late light of sunset gives him an ethereal 'glow'!

Free speech is good and I agree we are all entitled to say that which we believe to be true. Whether or not anyone is harmed depends on what is said and who is listening but in a place like Speakers Corner, I think that people expect to hear random things. Yet another place that I've not been to. I often seem to say that to you.....I must get out more! :) |

Speaker's Corner is like a area allowed to be grafitti'd or a naturist beach - quite likely to offend those who might be susceptible, but it's well known and to my mind, is to be applauded in its tolerance and acceptance and for those in other parts of the world where such is entirely forbidden, a beacon for this country of ours.
All speaking yesterday, to my mind, were talking utter b***ocks of course, but who am I to judge? I didn't stand out there for an entire afternoon in the freezing cold speaking my mind! |
