@Cristian Degl'innocenti: Thanks Cristian ;-)

@ Alby85: eh crops Alby, something in certain situations you have to decide not to take home as you rightly pointed out you.
Time for a double exposure can assure you that there was :-D :-D :-D
I had your same idea, namely the desire to read the entire image because the people in the background seemed to me an intrinsic part of the scene in which I was living.

I even where it has been given preference to reading to preserve the highlights (just to get an overview of the assisted time):

I think it's a good portrait, also by virtue ofTO
Good evening to you both ;-)

Hello Alex, I tried several times to take it back I also Mr. Paul aol work .. but with poor results .. white burnt or too dark images ... maybe spot the flame might be the right thing but then the rest is still readable?

maybe spot the flame might be the right thing but then the rest is still readable?
but you know Roby, is that on the spot I thought so, then after two shots, I realized that exhibited good fire and part of the face but everything else is going to lose in burnt blacks (the image that is posted in the comments was taken precisely with the spot and is one of the few where you can see the contours of the subject).
In short, the discrepancy between the highlights and shadows in some cases is not unbridgeable, too much difference between one area and another, and be able to have both subject and readable background is an enormous task.
After some testing at M and various exposimetric readings, trying also manual adjustments of the stop for the exhibition, I decided to put a center-weighted, priority & agravis; aperture shooting at TA (2.8), ISO 6400, and time traveling between 1/125 and 1/8000 (ty day lase!) and I focused on the "BDC" to get some shots then workable in PP :-D :-D :-D
Not great huh, I admit, or at least, are not fully satisfied, though I do not find even by right button and move to trash (something that lately I find it very easily!) -D: -D: -D
