, Posa B f/3.5, ISO 1600, tripod.

Due scatti fatti con Nikon D700 ( a sinistra) e Nikon D800E ( a destra) con lo stesso obiettivo e sotto il medesimo cielo di Pian dell'Armà. 1600 ISO per entrambi gli scatti e 180 secondi di posa per ognuno senza dark frame o altra riduzione del rumore e con nitidezza dei Raw a Zero. Obiettievo Leica Apo Telyt 180mm f/3,4 per entrambi gli scatti. Filtro IDAS P2. Solo conversione in Nikon Capture NX 2 e bilanciamento del bianco uguale. La nitidezza estrema della Nikon D800E ha messo in luce anche un inseguimento non perfetto eseguito con Astrotrac (nell'immagine fatta con la D700 l'errore è nascosto dalla minore risoluzione)
