Il castello vanta anche il primato della prima ostensione in Piemonte della Sacra Sindone nel 1478: il sacro lino, infatti, vi era stato portato quale tappa intermedia prima di raggiungere Pinerolo, dove fu osteso la prima domenica di Pasqua. La duchessa Jolanda, moglie di Amedeo IX di Savoia, pensò fosse giusto permettere anche agli abitanti di Rivoli di venerare la sacra reliquia. Focale 12mm
