This is an odd one, Tim - it really had me thinking before I could work it out! Are you considering doing some painting, or were you just looking at the Chinese takeaway, without wanting to be seen to be looking at the Chinese takeaway...... ??? Or maybe you're watching the car head for the tins of paint...... :)) I like that it drew me in and made me ponder :) |

I posted a crypt shot tonight. As you admit to goading me to improve, I'll get in first and predict what you will say :) You will tell me the ISO is too high - I know it is...... I took others at half the ISO of this one but this was the strongest composition. Because it's a dark, shadowy image, I think I've (just about) got away with it. I'm sure you'll let me know if you don't agree! :)) |

I'm glad it made you ponder, Ann. There's a woman on Blipfoto in Canada who goes about Vancouver at night and does these sorts all the time. Some work, many don't but it is like looking into a parallel world of murky shadows and surprises. It's just another genre to try occasionally, esp on those dark miserable days when there are no other opportunities. |

Beautiful game of transparencies. Bellissimo gioco di trasparenze. |

I've tried a few incidental shots of scenes reflected in shop windows as well as the contents on display but so far with mixed success. There's someone with a camera to their eye in too many of them :)) It's something I intend to have a proper go at, though! |

Don't use such a wideangle, Ann, your 35mm f1.8 would be better. |
