Sapevamo prima di partire che fotografare le tribù Jat non sarebbe stato facile ed in effetti non lo è stato... Si tratta di tribù mussulmane dove il fondamentalismo si sta facendo strada e non è consentito fotografare le donne e da un po' di tempo anche i bambini... Con un po' di pazienza e con un po' di fortuna siamo riusciti a fotografare tutte e tre le sottotribù, Dhanetah, Fackhirani e Garasia. I Jat sono originari dell' Iran e sono una tribù di pastori; i Dhanetah anno continuato a dedicarsi principalmente all' allevamento, i Garasia all' agricoltura mentre i Fackhirani sono quelli maggiormenti dediti allo studio del corano. Durante i nostri giorni nel Kutch abbiamo trovato il villaggio Dhanetah dei nostri sogni dove tutti, uomini, donne e bambini, indossavano i vestiti tradizionali ma, nonostante l' aiuto di uno degli uomini del villaggio che ha provato a convincere gli altri uomini, per evitare che gli animi si surriscaldassero oltre il limite di guardia, ce ne siamo dovuti andare portando con noi un grande rimpianto..... Perseverando abbiamo comunque trovato l' opportunità di fare diversi scatti come questa anziana Dhanetah che indossa il tipico monile nasale e gli abiti tradizionali..................... COMPAGNI DI VIAGGIO Con l' amico Claudio, grandissimo conoscitore di India tribale e con il quale abbiamo condiviso il viaggio in Gujarat ( viaggiare con uno come lui fa la differenza perchè si riescono a vedere cose che nemmeno le guide esperte conoscono... ) oggi abbiamo deciso di andare a fotografare le fiere dei cammelli ed a visitare aree sconosciute del Rajasthan a Novembre e nei prossimi giorni fisseremo l' itinerario................
