Bel ritratto!!

Beautiful portrait !! I would say even more eye-catching of the previous :-) and although I tend to use the left or right third of the frame, in this case having hit the beautiful subject was the best choice !!

G

Hello Chiara parts before all thank you for the visit and for the 'appreciation.
Normally I tend to adhere too 'me the rule of thirds, but sometimes (often in this kind of picture) I try to make the most of the increased sensitivity' of the central AF sensor proceeding then to post a slight compositional crop.
In this and in the other the same session, I liked the 'effect created by blurred branches around the subject.
I'm glad you meet him snap your favor.

A greeting

G

Beautiful portrait, the subject (male) in winter plumage is not so easy to see, so much + to be photographed. The habitat of the vegetation makes the shot more realistic. Bravo
Ps.
I would like to open a parenthesis about the trends in this forum. For the more privileged are shots where the subject is totally divorced from the context that surrounds it. Whoever knows naturalistic motion picture almost always has to face difficult situations, both the composition and objective situations. Well having said that I am an advocate of "casual representation" as it is (branch, leaves, shadows etc.), rather than a product resulting from an exaggerated makeup and often performed worse. Some photos taken in srmbrano exposure room. It remains obvious that some intervention where it is necessary to improve the result. Sorry forprolixity, I hope you did not get bored. By the way, how would you think about?

Hello Josh, primarily a rigraziamento for nice comments and the excellent analysis of the subject, it appears your experience.
I have not bored, indeed, I share completely what you exposed even with regard to post-production.
The representation "true" of some subjects often implies and for various reasons (environment, climate, distances) a forced environment, which in my opinion adds value to the shooting.
Having started photographing film, I appreciate the qualities and great potential 'of digital technology; with traditional photography was unthinkable to achieve in the natural environment, the quality 'image we have today even with non-professional equipment.
But with the film he had to shoot focusing on the subject, if the branch was also left them in the photo stampata, it was forced to propose the reality '.
Obviously, a subject well-imaged with a smooth and homogeneous background makes the picture extremely pleasant, as is the case for birds, where preparing a good perch and taking care as far as possible the recovery point (the ability 'of the photographer is also in this) and 'possible to reach this situation.
But others have naturally contextualization cited above and 'extremely rare.
Besides, who goes about photographing animals, dressed in camouflage, crawling and rolling on the floor to catch the 'free point of view as possible, the WILD flavor of a set image can not' not pleasure.
