31 Luglio 2015. Visuale rivolta a Sud-Est, verso una parte di sentiero alternativo all'ufficiale, che costeggia il torrente, sorvegliato dallo Stob Deag e dal Beinn a Chrulaiste. Sembra più affascinante dell'altro, lo proviamo a percorrere. Durante la giornata macineremo così una venticinquina di chilometri sotto una pioggia perenne, a tratti torrenziale. Dopo una breve pausa al Kingshouse Hotel, giungeremo nel primo pomeriggio sino a Inveroran. Costeggeremo così le pendici del Meall a' Bhùridh e del Black Mount, oltrepassando numerosi torrenti come il Ba e il Victoria Bridge. Passiamo Inverornan (in cui facciamo una pausa ad una locanda, rifocillarndoci e ripararndoci dalla pioggia battente) e proseguamo speranzosi per Bridge of Orchy. Dopo aver fatto visita ai due ostelli del "paese" ci accamperemo delusi in una pozza di fango proprio davanti al "bridge", sgomitando con altri poveracci per quei due metri quadrati di fango. Intanto continuerà a piovere, per calmarsi solamente durante la nottata.
