Herz Bayerns, cuore della Baviera: così viene solennemente chiamata questa cittadina a est di Monaco che ogni anno attira oltre un milione di turisti e pellegrini. I tanti edifici di culto, la secolare devozione mariana e, soprattutto, la presenza della statua della "Madonna Nera", custodita e venerata nel piccolo santuario della Gnadenkapelle, fanno di Altotting il luogo di pellegrinaggio più noto e frequentato della Germania cattolica ...
