Ponte di fuga degli Scaligeri a Verona Con un?impressionante lunghezza di oltre 120 metri, il Ponte Scaligero conduce dal Castelvecchio all?altra sponda dell?Adige. Due massicce fondamenta portano le colonne per i tre grandi archi del ponte. Il ponte ornato di merlo aveva l'evidente funzione di difesa. Ma così come il vicino Castelvecchio, neanche il ponte fu costruito per proteggersi dai nemici esteri, ma servì come via di fugga per gli odiati Scaligeri in caso di un?insurrezione da parte della popolazione veronese. Antonio grazie per il passaggio e complimento, posso anche sbagliarmi in quanto sono passati diversi mesi ma credo non si tratti di riflesso ( il sole era molto basso sulla mia dx e in quella posizione mi trovavo completamente in ombra per la presenza delle mura del ponte e dagli alberi) bensì di una specie di arcobaleno creato dai raggi solari molto intensi e paralleli al fiume e dalle acque che scorrendo molto vorticosamente sviluppavano una nebulizzazione che copiosamente saliva verso l'alto. ciao MArio ;-)
