Given the vastness and natural beauty of the place is always a pleasant trekking on the hills of Monfalcone, the plateau above Redipuglia was the scene during the First World War of several battles. A hundred years later (and with no restoration) are still well clear the trenches , I feel a monument to futility of war. The stone that you see in the picture was erected by Mussolini in memory of his comrade-in-arms and trade unionist Filippo Corridoni, a few kilometers from the great and most 'known memorial. Thanks Gionskj of your appreciation, I think you've also seen the significance of the monument was in the fascist rhetoric of the time.
I am sure that in your region there are beautiful places and just as beautiful monuments just waiting people with passion to be highlighted.
And still alive in me (and it's been almost 40 years) the memory of one of my early work, I carry me for a few weeks in your region, exactly in the area of ??Sala Consilina and Sicignano degli Aburni.
My I tend not to look back, but I hope to have the opportunity to go back.
A greeting
sylvan
