Messier 77 è una piccola ma luminosa galassia nella costellazione della Balena. Distante quasi 50 milioni di a.l. è un'oggetto peculiare, presentando un nucleo molto compatto e luminoso e un anello di polveri più esterno (appena visibile nell'immagine). Purtroppo siamo nella fase meno favorevole per l'osservazione percui mi è costata parecchia fatica riuscire a mettere insieme un numero sufficiente di pose per rendere un minimo la bellezza di questo oggetto.
