Casciago VA - Church St. Augustine-Mosaic p. Rupnik. sent on January 29, 2016 (15:37) by Massimo Schiavi. 27 comments, 6027 views. [retina]

at 24mm, 1/8 f/7.1, ISO 400, hand held. San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy.

#Mosaico

Thanks Agata, your comment makes me particularly happy. Light, of course, was artificial and the shutter speed is supposed to be necessarily longish also to give some pdf, since the apse, closing a little 'diaphragm. In addition there were two windows that were shooting against the light. Certainly pp helped me enough.
Greetings Agata and a good weekend to you and Rosario!

I like how they shine the golden tiles .. sign of a good white balance!
Then Massimo admit that some of your expressions written you did "very" -D old .. but I changed my mind .. firmest hand to 1/8 s. !! wow!
So Augustine with its modernity (in his journey, mostly), gave a discreet notoriety to "your" beautiful village. For this and for the beautiful caption deserve many compliments .. hello. :-P

Well, dear Pussy, my age you see on my profile and say that the word "old" suits me! But I think I understand what you mean and I think that my generation has aged prematurely and it is my opinion that this depends on what and how much technological development there was, above all, how has changed the lifestyle of the 50's the last century, when I was a child, to date. Therefore regrets, normal at my age (who has not heard a father or a grandfather say: "In my day, so that was good!"), Are even stronger in those who have been, for better or for worse, mind you, changes so great and distorting. But maybe I just do me this illusion and, therefore, some of my expressions written testimony really some "ancient" but; For now, is only the head ... the hand, however, is still firm enough! -D: -D: -D
Rather I am discovering a bit 'a talker ... !!! -D: -D: -D
Casciago is not "my" country although it is a beautiful place and I would love to live there, but is bordering Varese where I live.
Thanks a lot of the comments most welcome and appreciation of the shot!
Best wishes and good weekend!

Thanks George and Annamaria, really makes me great pleasure that you enjoyed the photos and, above all, that you have judged the great mosaic. Father Marko Rupnik, the author, is the best mosaic artist and iconographer living. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to admire his work in a church which is less than a quarter of an hour from my house.
Best wishes and good evening to you, dear George and Annamaria!
