Pietro

What a beautiful Massimo, does not even seem to be a church at first sight, with all the vegetation around ... But it is a recent photo or a few months ago (summer?). Congratulations anyway!

Ciao e buona settimana.

Massimo Sorriso

Peter thanks for the comment that makes me great pleasure. Originally a church, then was adapted by enlarging it, to other uses, including that of small convent (said to be the first settlement of Franciscans in Western Liguria) and then agriculture. Unfortunately it can not be visited and was restored practically only on the outside.
The photo was taken in the month of May.
Hello and good week.

Giorgio

Also this beautiful Massimo. How many undiscovered treasures we have. Thanks to this "ancient flavor", as we often say.
Best wishes.

Massimo Sorriso

Thank you, George, for the welcome comments.
When I visit or, simply, to go alongside these monuments, small or large, that go back several centuries ago, I can not think of who built them, and then inhabited, and then, who knows with abandoned which sorrow, and then inhabited again by arranging and adapting to new requirements, and so on up to the present day of my curious wanderer who stop there to observe them. I believe that, if the monuments could talk, would manifest their contentment to those who admire them for what they are. Unlike humans, the monuments (churches, large and majestic, big and small palaces, farmhouses and cottages, Roman bridges or narrow streets of the country, or ...) are not vain and are content with a look of contemplation of their living .
I will stop here and I send you a warm greeting and a wishor for a good week!

I really like the walls of this church (but not too small, though!) Made with local pebbles .. look old as the coast on which they are built! Thanks caption very interesting .. but if the frescoes were plastered after the Council of Trent as I understand that they were considered little prude .. or not?
Many expect the continuation of this beautiful gallery you have open, hello Massimo! :-P :-P

Ciao Micio e buona settimana !

Massimo Sorriso

Dear Pussycat, unfortunately, the church can not be visited and, therefore, can not tell you much on the frescoes that have not seen, but I only learned of their existence from the internet, but the photos of the frescoes that I found show a Madonna and Child, some saints and geometric figures. If something was inconvenient I think, more than intonacarlo, at the time they ... Picconato away!
I think he asked to be acquired to continue the gallery, but the photos I still have, therefore, for this time I hope to continue the good weather !!! ;-)
Thanks for your attention and the welcome comments!

Bravo.

Paolo

Beautiful shot Massimo, with the light that did not help much, it seems a bit ' "tough," did you have to bring out the best as you can do.
Bravo.
