La sala, imponente, è il luogo dove il signore riceve ambasciatori e cavalieri ed esercita la giustizia e il comando. Riproduce il salone del castello della Manta dei signori di Saluzzo (Cuneo): loro è il motto "Leit" ripetuto sullo zoccolo dipinto e nei cartigli del soffitto. Sulla parete destra sono raffigurati Eroi ed Eroine dell'antichità, a guidare con il proprio esempio l'operato del signore; di fronte, una leggenda diffusa nella cultura cortese, quella della Fontana della giovinezza. Alla vostra sinistra ammirate il dipinto su tela della fontana della giovinezza che è la fonte miracolosa che restituisce la gioventù agli anziani che vi si immergono. La scena dipinta racconta l'arrivo dei vecchi di ogni ceto sociale (i re e i loro cortigiani, trainati dai cavalli su un carro coperto, e i più umili a dorso di mulo o spinti su un carretto a mano), ansiosi di bagnarsi nella fontana. Nella vasca avviene il prodigio: le coppie ringiovanite si abbracciano, per poi uscire e rivestirsi degli abiti alla moda e ricominciare a godere dei piaceri della vita. Il dipinto riproduce l'affresco del salone del castello della Manta, eseguito intorno al 1420 dallo stesso maestro della serie degli Eroi ed Eroine. Autore della copia per la Rocca del Borgo Medievale fu, nel 1884, Alessandro Vacca, artista torinese formatosi all'Accademia Albertina. La tela, distrutta con l'intera sala durante il bombardamento del luglio 1943, fu sostituita da quella attualmente esposta nel 1950-51: Francesco Chiapasco si recò nell'estate del 1950 al Castello della Manta per eseguire il rilievo degli affreschi e poterne così dipingere una copia del tutto esatta
