La corte interna della rocca riproduce quella del castello di Fénis. Ha pianta trapezoidale, dominata da una ripida gradinata in pietra a scalini semicircolari. Su di essa si affacciano i ballatoi del primo e secondo piano, dalle balaustre in legno e dalle pareti affrescate. Soltanto la parete di controfacciata differisce dal modello: è decorata da stemmi dipinti, rappresentanti le principali famiglie signorili del Piemonte quattrocentesco: Savoia, Challant, Saluzzo Manta, Monferrato, San Martino. La corte è il vero fulcro del castello, su cui si aprono tutti gli ambienti di ricevimento o privati; dalle scale laterali si scende alle carceri. La serie di venticinque personaggi raffigura filosofi e uomini saggi dell'antichità, tra cui Aristotele, Boezio, Anselmo, Platone, Salomone. Ognuno di essi porta scritto su un cartiglio un proverbio o una sentenza morale in francese antico. Riproducono i filosofi dipinti nel cortile del castello di Fénis per mano di collaboratori di Giacomo Jaquerio, intorno al 1415-1420. Le quartine attribuite ai diversi personaggi non sono estratte da loro opere, ma provengono da raccolte di sentenze e proverbi che si conservano in numerosi esemplari manoscritti del XIV ? XV secolo nelle biblioteche di Francia. Nel 1884, Giuseppe Rollini eseguì l'affresco nella Rocca, che fu danneggiato durante la II guerra mondiale e quindi ridipinto. La Legenda Aurea scritta da Jacopo da Varagine, vescovo di Genova, nella seconda metà del XIII secolo narra che San Giorgio, soldato romano, salvò la principessa Silene dal sacrificio al drago cui era destinata. Nella cultura cavalleresca, egli divenne simbolo della lotta del bene contro il male, del Cristianesimo contro gli Infedeli. Il dipinto sulla scalinata riproduce la scena dipinta nella stessa posizione nel cortile del castello di Fénis da artisti di formazione jaqueriana, intorno al 1415-1420.
