I was surprised to see a carpet of snowdrops today! I'll go back on another (less breezy) day with my macro lens but, for today, I liked the dreamy softness that the slight movement created. Ann :)) |

Beautiful carpet of snowdrops, dreamy soft bokeh and nice composition. |

Thanks, Tim! I had no expectation of snowdrops today. I'd been photographing very brown and not terribly attractive flood water at Blandford, so they were a nice surprise when I spotted them on my drive home! |

I actually considered Blandford today! But the last bus back is 4.30 and by the time I could get there, I just considered it not worth it. My flood water looked bloody lovely!! (as you saw) |

I think you would have been disappointed with Blandford - the flood water had largely subsided and didn't hold much appeal, although I took a few close ups of the turbulence at the weir that were ok. Fortunately, I'd not really gone for the photography opportunity (although I always have an eye open for one :)) but rather to have coffee with friends. Apparently, there had been an otter earlier, swimming with a cub in her mouth - I would have loved to have seen that! |

Yes, you would have been in seventh heaven! |
