(Orissa, India) Ho conosciuto questo bambino durante un lungo viaggio in treno attraverso l'Orissa, in India. Per tutto il tempo ha osservato e studiato qualsiasi mio gesto e seguito ogni mio piccolo movimento. Ogni tanto ricordava che, oltre al mondo dentro la carrozza, c'era anche quello che scorreva veloce fuori dal finestrino. Lo sguardo stupefatto, curioso, sorpreso come quello di una creatura che guarda il mondo per la prima volta. A sognare rincorrendo, col mento appoggiato alle sbarre di quel rettangolo, la scia di un aereo che buca le nuvole in cielo . Questa volta sono io ad imitare la sua fantasia. E lo so che stava sognando, perché da piccolo anch'io facevo lo stessa appeso al finestrino della macchina di mio padre.
