Dopo uno sterrato di circa 130 km (che non è proprio una passeggiata) eccoci nella Riserva di Cabo Virgines dove c'è una pinguinera con circa 60 mila coppie di pinguino patagonico (spheniscus magellanicus). In pratica si percorre un sentiero che attraversa il sito di nidificazione costituito da tane fatte sotto i piccoli cespugli che crescono nella zona limitrofa alla spiaggia.
