Originaria dell'Etiopia, presente anche in Somalia, questa giraffa, secondo me la più bella dell'Africa, si distingue per il particolare manto le cui chiazze sono disposte in modo da creare un reticolo, da qui il nome. In Kenya vive solamente nel parte nord. il manto le conferisce una particolare eleganza nel maestoso incedere.

L'immagine rappresenta bene il particolare disegno del manto, senza la testa che sitrarrebbe l'attenzione.
La bufaga costituisce il giusto punto di interesse che completa la foto.
Le ho viste in Kenia alcuni anni fa.
