Istituto Mondo Arabo (Parigi) Questo luogo di cultura, inaugurato nel 1988, é il frutto d'un partenariato tra la Francia e ventidue paesi arabi. E' stato concepito con l'obiettivo di far conoscere e sviluppare la cultura araba, realizzando un ponte culturale tra la Francia e il mondo arabo. L'edificio, realizzato dall'architetto Jean Nouvel, simboleggia questa volontà di sintesi tra culture. La facciata nord volta verso la Parigi storica, é organizzata in relazione alla città antica. La facciata sud riprende i temi storici della geografia araba, con i suoi 240 moucharabiehs, che variano in funzione della luce, e si aprono e si chiudono ad ogni ora come fossero diaframmi di un obiettivo fotografico.
