Il Monte dei Cappuccini è una collina di 283 m s.l.m. che sorge nella città di Torino, sulla riva destra del Po, nel quartiere Borgo Po, molto vicino al centro storico, in prossimità del ponte di piazza Vittorio Veneto. Su di esso, si erge il piccolo convento di Santa Maria al Monte, affidato ai frati cappuccini, luogo di grande importanza per la spiritualità torinese. Il piazzale prospiciente al convento viene spesso utilizzato come scorcio turistico di belvedere della stessa città e, dal 2005, è ingresso del restaurato Museo nazionale della montagna. Nella notte la Chiesa di Santa Maria al Monte dei Cappuccini si staglia sulla cima del colle che sovrasta il Po, proprio di fronte ai Murazzi, come fosse sospesa a mezz'aria. Illuminata da potenti fari blu, la chiesa perde il consueto aspetto di edificio conventuale e si trasforma in una presenza surreale, quasi un'astronave in volo. Tutt'intorno alla chiesa del Monte dei Cappuccini, sono collocati dei tubi al neon, cerchi di luce che da lontano, complici le nuvole basse e le nebbie che d'inverno salgono dal Po, diventano Piccoli spiriti blu.
