Complimenti Giorgio !
Ciao !

Massimo Sorriso

A glimpse really nice, George, well framed and made into an excellent B & N.
I really like the composition that highlights the well-paved lane, from just in front of your lens, and draws the eye to the scale that seems almost an escape.
So the old alley remains the main subject of the photo.
Really a great shot! Congratulations George!

Grazie Massimo, gentilissimo come sempre!
Giorgio

Thanks Massimo, very kind as always! It 's true I really like taking pictures in wide angle to have everything in focus with the "famous" hyperfocal distance. (Just be careful not recover even feet).
Every now well laugh about it ...
Best wishes and good Sunday.
Giorgio

Grazie ancora, Micio.
Ciao, Giorgio

You have the power to "read" in the images comments! I 'true that alley, think ... I photographed more than 40 years ago. I still have film. It 'been so. Many fond memories ... of course!
Thanks again, Pussycat.

Very nice this alley. You say you've photographed 40 years ago with the film. I would be curious to see the scan. Now go back to it ... digital still in B & W. But then it is true love! ;-) :-) :-P
A greeting.

Ciao, Giorgio

Augusto see there are things that should be done in B & W and vice versa, this ever in my opinion. That alley color does not take the comparison. The film is still preserved with care, I also scanned. The place has not changed much, only that time I had a 28 mm. The photo published was taken with the Tokina at 12. I love taking pictures in wide angle.
Thank you for your comments welcome!

MrGreen Ciao e complimenti.

These walls seem to touch them, and the staircase in the back, where the eye goes, on the central line of large stones, I find it fascinating. Bravo also for having so well developed and digitized film. But take my curiosity. He states that he had hardly ever taken a picture in the film and then I know nothing of scanners etc. But it is not the technical side that interests me but your choice say "ethics". I mean, if you had a print of this photo, the PC have tried to reproduce the same, maybe for sentimental value or even more to "respect" a kind of "immutability" analogue image, or you lawfully and appropriately taken advantage of processing programs to improve it, (if he needed it), and maybe change significantly?
You can & ogravis; somehow considered a betrayal, digitize the analog?
You are not absolutely required to respond and I hope not to have broken the boxes, but I care about the opinion of those who have long experience from analogue, as I read in your profile, and which was a bit 'over the world.
Stress that I did not attend. -D Hello and congratulations.

Giorgio

I state that I have absolutely "broken boxes", or rather your comment makes me much pleasure and I will try to answer, in short, but comprehensively to your concerns:
1) the photo you are commenting was taken with a digital camera and then converted to B & W (you had to be more careful in the caption).
2) I have converted several of my slides or films in B / N with a film scanner, with good results, (if you want to look in my galleries).
Enter the analog is not a betrayal, on the contrary it is the only way to give new life to your photos!
It 's true I really loved taking pictures with film because everything happened at the time of shooting, after you could not fix anything! But, as in life, even with the fotografia "stress" I got over it and I will continue taking pictures until I could do it.
Dear Claudio I wish you a good weekend and are always available, remember that "grows" when you are humble.
Giorgio
