Normalmente ( se non molestate spaventate o infastidite) , sono totalmente innocue .....solo la murena mascherata (molto comune alle delle Maldive ) sopperisce alle ridotte dimensioni con maggiore aggressività territoriale ...... personalmente ho fotografato più volte anche quella senza mai essere nemmeno minacciato.
Le murene hanno questo aspetto minaccioso , ma spalancano la bocca ritmicamente solo per convogliare l'acqua alle branchie e respirare più agevolmente.
Le armi comunque le hanno belle efficaci e si fanno ben rispettare !
