Bellissima la fontana che, mi pare, fungesse ai tempi anche da lavatoio.
Penso alle nostre nonne e bisnonne e alle ... lungo i secoli alle quali, rispetto allo stare inginocchiate lungo le rive dei fiumi a lavare, queste fontane dovevano apparire un'invenzione stupenda. Poi hanno inventato prima l'acqua corrente nelle case e poi le lavatrici e, allora, questi lavatoi sono diventati dei monumenti al ricordo delle fatiche delle nostre antenate.
Questo per quel che riguarda il lavare, quanto all'attingere l'acqua per i bisogni domestici... non è che il discorso cambi di molto.
Bravissimo Eraldo per questo scatto molto bello e ben fatto e per il documento che rappresenta.

Beautiful fountain that, I think, at the time also acted to wash.
I think of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers and ... throughout the centuries which, compared to the rest kneeling on the banks of rivers to wash, these fountains must have looked wonderful invention. Then they invented the first running water in the houses and then the washing and then wash these have become monuments to the memory of the hardships of our ancestors.
This regard the wash, as all'attingere water for domestic needs ... is not that the speech changes much.
