Stavo camminando lungo la spiaggia quando ho notato che, vicino alla battigia, il ritirarsi della marea aveva creato delle ondulazioni sulla sabbia. Dato il cielo nuvoloso ed il basso contrasto, in quel momento le ondulazioni non erano però particolarmente evidenti. Così ho deciso di aspettare che uscisse il sole e si abbassasse sull'orizzonte: la luce radente mi avrebbe aiutato. Intanto ho continuato ad esplorare quella sorta di bassorilievo di mutevole aspetto, che a volte ricordava un deserto, a volte delle cime montuose.
