Thank you, Tim! I hope your day went well, too! It's good that you managed to get outside early today - it's been raining here pretty much all day.

Gorgeous shot! Longing for some snow....or even just a crisp, cold spell!

I also put up a Christmas tree in the early Christmas morning moonlight, Ann! That's high up in the most popular.

Christmas itself is always a bit of a let down when you've spent it all by yourself and not even managed to speak to anyone. Never mind, there are far lonelier and worse off people out there and it's all become obscene how much expense and gluttony that goes on at this time, too.

Yes, the forecast looks rubbish! This snowy image I actually used to sell as a Christmas card, locally.

I do not envy you spending Christmas alone, Tim. I admire you for the Happy Christmas messages you have posted and for choosing to appreciate how much worse some people's lives are. I believe that, like me, you are at peace in your own company and that, too, is a blessing.

This must have made a great Christmas card!

Thank you again Ann. It's more through personal circumstance than choice and one can revel in misery or try quietly get through it by politely wishing others well, because it is the right and decent thing to do. I'm always glad when the world gets back to normal after and transport and shops etc return, but then, I am not working so the time off is irrelevant. And with no family left (aside of my brother) now, there seems even less reason to be jubilant about it!

But as you know, I enjoyed going out when only the owls were hooting to get last night's images - and then sharing them - that gave me great pleasure. It was me being me and what I can offer - not what I can't!

Yes, the card was quite popular, with the cathedral making it 'local', mixed with Dutch type winter scene paintings and with a bit of Lowry, too, perhaps!
