Questa immagine è l'ultima della serie di riprese fatte da Lignan (in Valle d'Aosta, a circa 1600 metri sopra Nus) la notte del 10 Ottobre scorso.
Non c'è che dire, il cielo scuro fa una grande differenza ... avevo già ripreso la California in diverse occasioni da casa (a Volpiano, in pianura a nord di Torino), con la stessa strumentazione, ma vi garantisco che le tenui sfumature sul bordo della nebulosa non erano visibili, neanche 'stretchando' al massimo i toni

This is the last series of shots taken from Lignan (Valle d'Aosta, at about 1600 meters above Nus) on the night of October 10 last year.
I must say, the dark sky makes a big difference ... I had already taken on several occasions by the California house (in Volpiano, in the plains north of Turin), with the same equipment, but I guarantee that the soft shades on the edge of the nebula were not visible, even 'stretchando' maximum tones wow!
