The photo I really like in composition, but there are some things to be reviewed in my opinion: the rocks / I lit stairs as little as possible because they distract from what I think is the focal point of the shot, or the bivouac. The hearth has instead a perfect show that benefits to the overall atmosphere. Also, I think you're focused only bivouac. If that were the case I would recommend you the next time to make a shot with the bivouac in focus, and a second picture with the sky on fire and then put them together with photoshop. Excuse the comment long, but I wanted to share my ideas to maybe help you improve further (I'll tell you as a photographer to its beginnings, so arrogantly 0) :-D

First of all thank you for the constructive criticism, I prefer a thousand times to a 'pretty picture'. As you say in this photo I so enlightened the 'stairs' because I liked the effect that the light had on the rock, but unfortunately ends up distracting from the real subject, so I agree in full! As for the fire instead I waited until there were only the embers so they do not burn, excuse the pun, the -D lights
If I remember instead the focus was set to infinity and therefore should be all on fire, maybe the stars appear blurred for too long exposure.
Thanks again for sharing your ideas!

If you focused on the stars it means that I have to change glasses or look at it next time :-D computer then the problem still remain the stairs, will be for the next time by ;-)
However imagine, I am always willing to make a constructive comment rather than writing "beautiful" and that's it. Waiting for other shots to comment constructively :-)
