The shot is very nice and the laying of the topic as well! :-P :-P :-P
In my opinion it would have a made better by decentralizing the subject left.
Hello and congratulations,
Paul :-)

I am a neophyte about raptors -D thanks for the tip!

I preferred the central subject because it lent itself to a good symmetry, especially the wings. ;-)
Thank you all for the transition but also for advice ;-)

In Osprey as in other species of raptors there is sexual dimorphism although less marked than for other species.
The female has a weight greater than the male average about 20% and a wingspan of about 10% greater.
but the most visually distinctive feature is the chest more brown in adult female.
young people recognize themselves in the better eye and light yellow to the feathers of the back slightly edged with white.
The copy which you have photographed most likely a female, is where you have them photographed by at least 3/4 years and fortunately very confident, and gives us many beautiful opportunities to portray him.
No ring so it is difficult to see where he was born, is often seen even in late August, frankly I do not know if it goes away in summer Charges may bewell be over or German.
Another that is often seen is G 22 every year more suspicious, last year saw only once thought he was dead because he has 14 years (ringed in Saxony in 2001) but this year is back.
I have observed this month also one several times with green ring and a GPS in the back.
I have not yet deciphered the ring well.
Anyway congratulations for shooting
A greeting
I am

Super interesting !! Right now I am following two, but there is also another much more wary. The two go hunting a few kilometers away, if they do not find anything you throw the fish pond and back to the pole to eat. The third one is hunting in the lagoon and on his own. In addition there is a fourth right into the pond at Riola, about 5 km from the lagoon. It 'a loner. Unfortunately, keeping up is a mess.
