Ho scattato questa foto al Lago Bianco nei pressi del Passo Gavia in Alta Valtellina, un luogo unico, dalle mille sfaccettature che mi ha spesso regalato ottimi spunti fotografici. Sebbene fosse il mese d'agosto, ricordo un freddo pungente dovuto alla combinazione di vento, umidità ed altitudine (2.621 mt s.l.m.) che, abbinata al sopraggiungere di una fitta nebbia, mi aveva quasi fatto desistere dallo scatto al tramonto. Fortunatamente la passione e la voglia di "portare a casa" il risultato hanno fatto si che resistessi fino a quando le nubi si sono diradate mostrando le praterie d'alta montagna oltre il lago. Nella composizione ho scelto di caratterizzare l'immagine dando risalto agli Eriophorum , fiori tipici di queste quote, per preparare lo sguardo alle possenti cime che si stagliano sullo sfondo che, incuranti della tempesta in arrivo, si specchiano fiere nelle acque del lago. Il tempo dello scatto ed iniziò il diluvio.
